Awesome fight. Fedor 25, Nog 26.
Fedor was the underdog and a bit of an unknown quantity at the time, Nog was expected to catch the inexperienced Fedor with a sub, that didn't happen, Fedor dominated the fight via GnP and history was altered. Fedor has remained the number 1 heavy for the last 5 years.

I like this version of Fedor, he used alot of vicious GnP back then, he doesn't do that so often anymore, perhaps because he is weary of his hands getting broken or because his submission game has just improved so much he no longer needs to use GnP anymore.

Alos this is actually the first time I've watched this fight with the English commentating. (I hate watching fights with foreign commentary  )

I think it has more to do with the way he punches. He's thumbs been broken numerous times. Even vs Sylvia in 36seconds he managed to hurt his thumb.

This is the fight that broke my heart. Up until he fought Fedor - Nogueira seemed unbeatable. His jiu-jitsu was so strong. It was unbelievable.
