It seems Gary Shaw isn't willing to spend that much on Fedor and are offereing him less then half that plus ppv sales. I'm not sure we'll see Fedor anytime soon unless he lowers his demands besides Mark Cuban paying him and then Paying Couture for a super fight it just isn't worth it. Not to mention Finkel has recently said Fedor will need a warm up to get used to the cage and elbows etc. I'm not sure anyone will anti up to see Fedor in another circus fight.

I'm really starting to loose respect for this guy, I don't think he really wants to fight anymore. He hasn't had a meaningfull fight in a long time. Even Tim Syvia just wants to fight the best, what does Fedor really want?

You say that exact same thing every single post about Fedor. You keep on starting to lose respect for him.

it's started and ongoing because I think this carnival he has been going through will end eventually but yet it continues with no end in sight.

yes, of course and all the org's will be bankrupt as well. If Gary Shaw thought it was worth it he would do it in a second just so Dana couldn't get him.

Let me first say that I think that MMA fighters are generally underpaid.....no, CRIMINALLY underpaid in comparison to boxers and other athletes.

However,...the scale for now is what it is...and Fedor hasn't fought a real challenge since he beat CroCop three or four years ago.

It should depend on who he fights, period. And lets face it,..the heavyweights aren't very deep.

So demanding 2 mill. per fight is asinine to say the least.

Not only aren't there very many quality heavys out there,....Fedor hasn't faced any challenge in years.

2 mil is too much. i he asks for that much, then he'll never fight again

i like how fedor fights and IMO, he's the best MMA heavyweight fighter today. Asking for 2M per fight at this point of his career would probably too much since he hasn't plied his trade in the UFC let alone US.

The better thing to do IMO is to first ink a short term deal with UFC, get into a couple of High impact fights or win the UFC belt right away, then begin to talk about real money.

    But that's just me...

im not a Fedor hater but jesus it seems like he has no intrest in big fights. anytime something comes up, he seems to price himself out.

I agree, he get's more satisfaction beating up invalids in Sambo tourny's. Any body who is serious about fighting wouldn't have done what he has the last 2 years.

Fedor is the one doing the fighting. He has the right to set his price. Of course, if he manages to keep himself out of meaningful fights, then his career can only continue to suffer as he slips out of MMA's public eye.

    Good points :good

UFC events are making huge money, more that boxing events at which the headliners are earning more than 2ml.

Some of you have no idea how economics work. You don't set the price, the market does. You are worth whatever someone is willing to pay you. So far, no one is willing to pay what they want. UFC threw the cash on the table but wouldn't meet the other compensation Fedor and his team wanted.
