Fedor looked like he was out cold until right at the time Herb stepped in so seeing a guy who appeared to be out of it and went flat twice is probably why he jumped in. Herb knows what hes doing see Mir-Sylvia. Also soon as the camera goes away you can hear Frank Shamrock talking about how rocked Fedor still is and Ranallo said the same thing later in the broadcast and I didnt hear much booing from the crowd that actually could see how Fedor looked when he got up. Fedor got KTFO deal with it.

I thought it was a bit early at first but I think he was seriously hurt. Hendo would have just bombed him at that point. Sucks ass tho.

This is true of course. As I say, I can see Herb Deans call entirely.

Hendo is an ATG himself. This is another quality win for him. Fedor has slipped now, it cannot be denied, everything about him has slipped.

Come to think of it, you're right. I've never seen a ten count in MMA.

So then they're all TKOs...or the difference is completely arbitrary and the terms TKO and KO just interchangeable in this sport.

Why? Fedor is still the same fighter. This is what happens when a fighter loses.... and loses that aura around them that intimidated other fighters from really going for it. Fedor had that Tyson aura... and seemed unbeatable. Same with Roy Jones Jr. Then... someone beats them... and the walls come crumbling down. It isn't because they are all ofthe sudden shot. It's because people realize it can be done and has been done... and then the next thing you know all of their opponents are bringing it to them... really taking the fight to them and they never quite look the same. Cro Cop, ect.... These guys don't suddenly become shot fighters overnight. FFs, Hendo is 40 years old. It simply becomes a different ballgame when fighters start fighting you like they have a chance to win. Fedor is not old... and he looked just like the Fedor from Pride as he was going for the kill... Dan simply didn't wilt, fought out, and knocked him out... because he never lost his will or spirit. That spirit would have been a lot easier to take away from Hendo, had Fedor not been beat recently. Then he has a fighter in that position, and the fighter may just concede that he is getting his ass kicked just like everyone else that Fedor fights, ect...

It's not a joke when people talk about how important the mental aspect of this sport is. Or any sport for that matter.

I never said Fedor was shot. I never said he was old.

I had a whole long reply typed out, but I'm just going to leave it at that.

    Agree

I'm sick of people saying Fedor is shot or old, the blokes not that old compared to Hendo, Liddell, Randy etc when they were still winning at the tops of their game.

He looked ok in his last 3 fights but the better man won on all 3 occasions..... the level of his last 3 opponents has been quite good and he's not some irresistable force people think he is.

the same guys crying about an early stoppage would have been really pissed if it went on and their hero ate about 12 elbows to the mug. i thought it was a great stoppage.

Dean should have stopped it when Henderson went down but he was too slow in pulling the trigger.

Keep this kind of nonsense to Klitschko threads.

I'm ashamed of myself for bothering to read that.
