Today at M-1 Global's much anticpated press conference, President Monte Cox and Fedor Emelianenko's manager, Vadim Finklestein finally unveiled the much rumoured about opponent that Fedor Emelianenko would face in late March. It was announched to be none other than New York City's pride and joy 'Naked Cowboy'.
Monte Cox commented, "This is a fight we've been working on for a very long time, we know this is a fight many of Fedor's fans have been wanting and we finally caved under the pressure and gave the fight the go ahead"

[SIZE=-1]Vladimir Voronov, Emelianenko's trainer, currently in Stary Oskol training his fighter for the grueling battle ahead gave his thoughts on the superfight "Obviously this is going to be the toughest fight of Fedor's career, the Naked Cowboy is a truly formidable opponent, his truly well rounded game and combination of unrelenting guitar playing skill, Y-front wearing prowess, hip swiveling talent and beach boys song wailing is unmatched in the MMA world"

The Naked Cowboy commented "This is a great opportunity for my career, I will finally be thrust into the limelight, even though its my pro-debut and I've never trained in any formal martial arts I do indeed have mad skillz, I assure you"

Fedor Emelianenko did not comment to reporters on the procedings but struck a stony faced and sombre figure clearly showing signs of concern over the potentially dangerous bout.

After the year of 2007, this is clearly a big step up in competition for the Russian and many have commented that perhaps he is being rushed a little too fast, this will be his biggest test for several years, only time will tell if he is up to the task. The world awaits.
