Em entrevista ao site oficial do seu evento, o presidente do M-1, Vadim Finkelstein, comentou quais os planos que tem para sua principal estrela, o russo Emelianenko Fedor. “Agora nós estamos dando nosso melhor para realizar a luta entre Fedor e Randy Couture”, explicou, “Quase todo mundo quer ver esta luta, o Randy, o M-1, e cada fã de vale tudo no mundo”. Com a confirmação de que COUTURE só poderia lutar a partir de outubro, Finkelstein afirmou que Fedor fará sua próxima luta nos EUA, o que deve acontecer em alguns meses. “Agora eu só posso confirmar que a próxima luta do Fedor será realizada nos EUA.
