No not really, you always side against me when it comes down to Fedor/UFC discussions as you're a known UFC hater while I'm quite receptive to the UFC. Of course you feel I'm losing the arguement.

Here's one fact for you. People like Kovalchuk, Kirilenko, Fedorov w/e russian athletes that come to America are not exactly popular amongst Russians. Those that doN'T play for the national team are regarded traitors for the lack of a better word. This is exactly what would've happened to Fedor.

Now tell me what do you feel about this fact?

Most of these guys have likely never been outside the U.S.

Might not be capable of contemplating such a thing.

So was Fedor treated that way for every fight in his career except 3?

Not to mention alot, if not most, M1 fights will be in the US.

Its not a valid argument in this case.

You're missing a point. The fact that he holds on to the fact that he is Russian, supports Russian sport, etc. and he is NOT a sell out will put him in the whole another category. It is the only valid argument on the subject we are talking about.

So he was a sellout when he fought for Pride in the US, or Pride in general?

He could still support/compete in Russian sport in Russia for Russia.

This whole discussion boils down to the fact that Dana White knows the average MMA fan (IE: they watch TUF) has no idea who Fedor is and he has no intention of promoting a fighter he does not have exclusive control over. The old adage is that when you're number one there is no number two.

My understanding of Fedor's reluctance to enter the UFC is due to the exclusivity contract. Fedor believes (and possibly rightly so - but I;m not his accountant) that he earns more from his appearances in the various venues including Sambo and MMA than he would earn from a UFC contract.

Fair enough, but I don't buy the sambo thing as a real problem in the UFC negotiations, if it is then I guess I'm wrong.
