The west did not create the koran, which is the problem, it hasn't been adapted or modified and as such these muslims believe there are no mistakes in it. Actually, most ISIS members have come from the middle east. Non-Arabic nation recruits, whilst increasing in numbers, is still in the minority. But, i see your point in that their are certain mosques that do breed the anti-west feelings in disenfranchised, impressionable people (usually young men).

As for the Muslim community not condemning the actions; I'm not sure if they have after this Paris attack, but, in the past when other Islamic led atrocities have occurred (9/11, London, Sydney, Kenyan bombings and the Charlie Hebdo attacks), the "Muslim community" did condemn them, it just didn't get reported by the mainstream media. Also, why should they? Like all religions, there are different groups and individuals so why should all Muslims who are against ISIS and their like have to condem every militant Muslim act? No one expected all faiths or Christianity to condem the Oklahoma bomber. To claim that the Muslim community don't condem the attacks because they all condone them is a staggering claim based on no evidence whatsoever. This type of unobjective, narrow thinking and seeing the world in black and white and pigeonholing all muslims as the same is what helps to breed Islamic radicalism in the west.

The Koran is an interesting and at times out of touch read, but, like all religious texts, it is open to interpretation. It is almost delibereatly oblique so it is why you get so many wide and varrying interpretations. It is not a set in stone list of do's and dont's so it is incorrect to say all Muslims believe there is no mistakes in it. ISIS believe it is word for word accurate. That is why they have set up the Caliphate. The Taliban, Saudi Arabia and Al-Qaeda belive most of it word for word, but interpret some parts. However, most Muslims, particularly westernized ones like most Christians do and people of other faiths,belive that large part of the Koran are open to interpretation.
