I have no preference who wins.

But look at the trouble Zbik gave him with his handspeed. Zbik was stopped by the Sturm left hand alone. I think Chavez will get stopped.

    Why feel bad for him?

If he loses, he loses. He had a good run and got a chance to make some good $ in his mid 30s. He done aight for himself. Frankly, he gets rated higher than he should.

And while I give Jr a chance, I don't think he destroys Serg, r vice versa. It's about a 60-40 fight in Serg's favor.

I see this being close. But i cant see where JCC gets the win. Marv opens up the ring really well and has good single shot selection. He has the reach advantage and the experience. However, aggressive and come forward JCC is serg has an answer.

More than anything. this is a fight i want to see and will be waking up in the UK in middle of the night. If only every fighter took on the best

There is no way on this or any other Earth Martinez is going to get the decision, he has to come into this fight knowing he needs to KO JCC or he's ****ed. It's that straightforward.

This is how I see it too.

I think Martinez has more to lose than Chavez Jr. He is favourite going into the fight and ring middleweight champ, if Chavez loses a decision he can rebuild and learn from it. It's nearly a 50-50 fight. Father time is going to start catching up with Martinez sooner rather than later, I hope its not for another few years yet.

The bad part is IF/When Jr. Wins where does Sergio go?

Chavez could lose this fight & still have time & promotion on his side.

Um, Top Rank is co-promoting the fight. Enough said.

Lol this isn't the featherfisted twig that got steamrolled by Margarito. Sergio isn't a one dimensional puncher that depends on one shot alone he's got a high ring IQ he can box very well. It's not just Sergio's power alone, but what will **** up Jr bigtime is that he won't know from where they came and won't see the bombs coming until its too late. Williams was way better than Lee, beat Margarito at his own game, and I think more active and punched harder than Jr. Jr would have to be more active, more aggressive, and make every punch count against Maravilla. Lee isn't even close to Sergio's power its a bad comparison.

I wouldn't feel bad if I were you.

All that hardwork will pay off on the 15th. He'll get to beat up a big-name opponent and recieve a handsome payday whilst doing so.

this is Calzaghe-Lacy all over again. Martinez schools the coddled Chavez Jr and wins every second of every round. Huge disparity in skill here to ANY unbiased Boxing fan.

Would not be shocked if Chavez retires on his stool or is stopped late.

Does anyone know how tall Chavez is? He looks taller than 6 foot to me.

pretty much. I am not sure why people think Martinez will stand flat footed like Andy Lee did. Martinez actually has skills and will use them. He is going to use movement and his speed and throw punches from awkward angles. This fight is clear as day yet some are obsessed with Chavez 'size' which means nothing. :rofl:patsch
