Don't blame the fighters blame the fans. The same guys that cry because ______ won't get a shot, wouldn't pay $5 to see him fight but they'll pony up big cash for a joke like Mayweather vs DLH.

Its the CONTINUED & LENGTHY discussions that give these clowns an excuse to keep making money an issue.
Id rather call him a cowardly piece of **** then move on & discuss the fights we ARE getting to see.

Ps. No, Hopkins shouldnt get a free pass, I think he should be tied up & whipped half to death for that disgraceful behaviour to tell you the truth.

Neither guy wanted to risk it vs the other tho & they both shamefully used money a$ an excuse.

Ps. i personally think Jones kicks B-Hops a$$ anytime pre Tarver, anytime.

See in a case like this I don't see why money isn't a valid discussion. jones had already beaten hopkins. He didn't need hopkins at all. He would have been a heavy favorite going into the fight and had he beat hopkins there would have been all type of excuses ranging from weight to bernard's best win to that point being against a man who was a welter just a year or 2 ago.

Despite that he was willing to make the fight and let bernard make 6 millions dollars which would have been 3 times what he made to whoop an easy fighter in Tito. Bernard was willing to conceed and take smaller purses against both Tito and Oscar whom he saw as easy wins but not against Roy. Hell he was willing to take 25/75 against Oscar despite the fact that Oscar was moving up and challenging for his belt but not 40/60 to avenge a loss?

Roy was simply asking for the purse he deserved. Bernard wasn't willing to take the risk without getting more reward than he deserved.

None of that matters if the best fighters are constantly getting the shot at the belt. If the better fighters win, they will get notoriety and fans. The misconception is that people only pay attention if people are undefeated.

Not necessarily. They pay attention if you keep fighting the best fighters and make a good showing for yourself.

The fans follow hype. Vasquez vs Marquez 1 and 2 were both amazing. There was no reason to believe that the 3rd wouldn't be magical. Yet if it had been on PPV no one would have bought it.

DLH vs Mayweather had all the ingredients of a snorefest and yet everyone tuned in and paid up.

Both were ****s because they denied the fans thru stubbornness but Hopkins was the biggest *****, always has been IMO so your right there.

You could argue that Roy could have just given in but IMO he shouldn't have had to. Hopkins should have known his role and taken the career high payday.
