to a certain extent true but to consider it as a pure toss-up as in 50-50 chance in stretching it. there was a thread/poll here and i distinctly remember jmm being ahead in that.

i am not making it appear easy, just stating a fact that the baby bull, despite his work rate is realy feather fisted.

true i agree he does not hold any meaningful power but he is still dangerous

right after the fight i posted saying if he had a bit more power jmm would of lost, no question

but then again if he did have power he would be a complete package i couldnt see many boxers past him at all, that is his 1 major flaw

jeff M has got to be one of the most over the edge posters here. i can't really get a handle on it but he seems plain out illogical sometimes.

i don't know if he is bitter or or just had an unhappy childhood or something. nice of you to drop by harrison.

This is a fair point, but one can also spin it as JMM being the more skilled fighter of the two seeing as how Pac has only been able to get a draw and a controversial decision over a guy he dropped 4 times.

If anything the way I like to look at it is this. You have one fighter that at any point can end the fight right then and there. Then you have another fighter who's prestine skills allows him to win more rounds then not. When you have these two kind of fighters against each other it adds quite the drama.

Now we have another interesting element though! That's we have the fighers moving up in weight and starting to dominiate in there new weight class! So now we have several new questions that have to some degree been answered by Marquez last showing. We know that he hasn't lost much if any speed, he's still as skilled and in fact you can even say his beard is a little more resilient. Only thing one can note is his reflex is starting to deteriorate, but that could be age and not so much the move up in weight. Then there's a couple of questions left on Pac side due to his complete demolition of Hoya & Diaz, 1.) being is his beard solid enough and 2.) how will he fair against elite fighter's in his new class (shortly we will know how well with the Hatton fight!). If it's another demolition, then questions of his chin won't be completely answered, but as far as opposition goes one can say he an incredible monster that is just tapping those asses at will. The two big question that have been answered is his speed is still intact and his power may not be what it was but it's enough to bang people out of there! Throw in the fact that his game is improving leaps and bounds and one can guess that he is probably going to be the latter and be a monster for the elite of the elite in his new division.

With this new element we have, one can only wonder what kind of spectical will we have with these two very special fighters. I guess what I am trying to say even though you sound as though your not trying to be bias you are even if it's within reason, but in that same token, so am I! I can't wait for a third fight and I can't wait to see whether I will be touting from the roof tops that my favorite fighter won or in tears that he lost, but in hope that this battle finally gets concluded with an ending for the ages. The way I want this fight to go is JMM winning by UD or if it can't play out that way Pac by KO, since either of these ending would be fitting conclusion to this great rivalary!

no complaints here bro, but i wanted to keep it objective as possible and hence i said keeping his feet on the ground against a highly skilled opponent. I was actually thinking of both pac and MAB and not just Pac.

Having said that, i think it would not be far off to say that if EM ( my mexican ido) and JMM fought, it would be safe to assume that if they ever met in EM prime, he could have scored a KD himself without necessarily saying that EM would win.

in the MAB fight, i thought it was a thorough JMM win, (i posted in that thread) although i remember an avid MAB fan (was it self kill) who insisted that MAB won. really, if MAB did not score a KD, there would have been no discussion whatsoever as to who won that fight, i was just a bit surprised that some MAB fans though that JMM lost that fight.

that is actually the gist of my statement there. Everytime JMM fights a highly skilled opponent, he gets KD and MAB was even way past his prime in that fight.

JMM can never win a decision against a media darling.........

My guess is that we'll see JMM go for it mid to late rounds and stop Pac or be stopped!

Those of the thinking that this type of battle can only favor Pac, should ask both Juan Diaz and Joel Casamayor, both first time KO victims at the hands of a JMM thats getting more and more aggressive.

Pac has already put JMM in the position that he could possible score KO's and failed in both rounds......

.....just dont underestimate JMM's punching power is all I'm saying.....it just might bite Pac at the higher weights!

I been questioning that myself, it does look like JMM power is going up with the weight, but is it me just being bias is what I am wondering. Otherwise I would have put a KO on his part you know! I can't wait to see these two go at it again, just two awesome fighters!

Agreed with a lot of your post but im glad you mentioned Marquez reflexes. I felt he was hit an awful lot during the Diaz fight. He is getting on a bit and the reflexes are starting slow. I feel JMM will lose to Hatton and Pac in a 3rd fight.

That is a question mark, but if you noticed he is now compensating by parrying the punches and just doing more blocking. I know, it's not quite what one would hope, but at least up to this point it's helping him weaken blows. Plus he's smart enough to know what he is able to dodge and what he has no choice but block or parry.
