Pretty sure very few of us knew that Orucuta was fighting this weekend, and probably very few of us are aware that he is currently in a medically induced coma. Following his defeat at the hands of his countryman, Jonathan Javier Rodriguez, Orucuta suffered a brain bleed from the bout and was immediately rushed to the hospital.

Fingers crossed Orucuta makes through. :chuck:

Pagan priests used to light up young boys on altars for the deities...this brought comfort to the faithful masses who secretly enjoyed the vision-warmth of the fire & the peasant self-assuring religious group feeling...priests kept the show because the faithful peasants kept paying

The priest lighting Altar boy relation continues...fueled by peasant $, Non-Catholics prefer to pay in other ways...Boxing is one of these venues

    The lucky boxers...die young & strong....much better than dying as a non-boxing weak peasant/citizen

So glad it didn’t end up in another tragedy. Boxing has had enough bad news. Great to hear and hope he enjoys the rest of his life in good condition.
