This content is protected Nina Hughes Shannon Courtenay on the undercard which is a brilliant 50-50 fight. I have heard Whyte's opponent could be Otto Wallin. Maybe this would mean Joshua and Whyte don't fight each other next as if they do it would have to be in September / October. Edit: Cash Williams potentially headlining with no Whyte on the card.
Surley this means no AJ fight in the summer? Unless active new dawn AJ won't fight again till atleast September edit; Just read your post! you already said this
I can see the thinking that on paper, there's probably nothing in it and would potentially be a good scrap. Except on the night it'll be absolutely dreadful.
Whyte risks losing to anybody who's at least half decent, I'd say a viable, risk free opponent for Whyte at this point doesn't really exist.
I think the whole selling to the public is gone as far as joshua and whyte are concerned, nobody cares anymore, they would rather enjoy a pint and a pizza or kebab for less than it costs to see these two fleecing folk again!! Their ship has long sailed...
Whyte won't fight Wallin, Whyte already ducked the fight with a fake shoulder injury. Also, another brutal KO defeat to Fury and the war with Franklin would have taken more out of him. "Dean Whyte" exposed Whyte's reasons for ducking Wallin recently: Wallin's too tall, too southpaw and too good a mover. He's all wrong for Dillian and would end his career.
I think Whyte is absoloutley finished. Honestly, hear me out here, but they should do Whyte vs Chisora 3. And both retire in the ring afterwards.
I said here as soon as AJ swerved the Whyte rematch that he had agreed to if Whyte beat Franklin. That AJs next fight would be 2024. He fights once per year and has done now for 3 years. With Whyte fighting in June, there is no chance he fights again later in 2023 either. Putting the Whyte rematch off like this doesn’t make good business either. If Whyte gets levelled out another time the rematch is no longer justifiable. Also, Whyte fights more often than AJ so this is more likely.
Whyte should fight Francis Ngannou. It’s a winnable fight, one they could probably flog on PPV and win or lose it will be a big earned for Whyte.
