Right? Was that just my imagination? He was covering up and moving his upper body and head, sure, but Khytrov was blasting him almost nonstop, making at least incidental top of the head contact with most of his shots, and the only counteroffensive from Rose came in the form of light flurries.

 

Claudio Marrero vs. Ira Terry, 10 rounds @ featherweight

 

Round 1

Marrero is snapping out the right jab from just below his chin, hitting Terry on the face and belly, changing his plane every few throws. Marrero keeps his left glove up by his jaw and fires hard straight left hand leads walking Terry down. Circling left, Terry paws a left jab out, standing upright and keeping distance. Marrero begins to score lefts on the body. Terry circles halfway around the ring, then move in and slaps at Marrero's sides with both hands.

Marrero is looking to plant the lead left on Terry but can't find him with Terry constantly roaming back and to his left. Marrero is jabbing the body and then measuring with jab-feints up top, playing patty-cake with Terry while stalking. Wild 1-2 by Terry jumping in after circling to dodge a Marrero left hand, caught in a clinch jumping atop Marrero. Left hand by Marrero, shaking Terry up. Clinch. Marrero is rowing out his right glove, slapping down the pawed left jab of Terry. Flurry jumping in by Terry, countered by a left.
