Granados is keeping the pressure on, sweeping both fists across Diaz's body while atop him every second, keeping Diaz's back on the ropes. Diaz is able to squirm loose, spin out to center ring, and begin to line up accurate counter lefts down the middle. Diaz slaps a right hook into Granados' neck as he comes in, while turning him. More sharp lefts by Diaz, making space. Granados follows him all the way across the ring, scratching at the body.

Round 5

Granados is lobbing rights down at the head of Diaz from long range while marching up, not concerned with the counter right jabs of Diaz thrown off the heel while backing up. Diaz is kept on the ropes and smacked around the upper back as Granados loops shots in, landing mostly with his arm. Diaz is keeping his knees pitched at right angles, shoulder width apart, popping counter jabs and single lefts at Granados coming in.

Round 6

Granados is coming in, thrusting hard power jabs at the top of Diaz's head. Diaz is on his toes, backing away, throwing right jabs as deterrents. Diaz is ducking and spinning to get away from the ropes. Granados wrestles his arms down and carries him nearly into the ropes, slapping the body as he goes. Diaz is running to his left after they exchange uppercuts. Granados takes a long step in and guts Diaz with an uppercut.

Round 7

Granados is hounding Diaz, throwing jabs and underhanded scoops on the body. Diaz is trading back with right jabs and sneaky left uppercuts, planting his feet briefly with each attack. Diaz nails Granados with a chop on the nose and stuns him. Diaz stays in with Granados and pinches his shoulders up tight around his face while exchanging body shots. BIG right hook by Diaz. Granados lands a shot at the bell, wobbling Diaz!

Round 8

Granados is tiring, leaning in on Diaz. After clasping his right arm down around Granados' waist, Diaz works a left uppercut and short left together while abruptly breaking free. Granados is chasing after him, winging shots, little steam on them. Diaz is crouching back, shifting his weight on his rear foot, or leaning into Granados, then exploding with single counter right hooks or step-back left hands.
