Bell sounds for the 8th, feels like it should be the 15th. Yet again, another weird pause, then Box! Perez getting sloppy coming forward not defending well, walking into shots. Felix getting him on the ropes and landing in combination, some of the best of the fight for him, Perez then goes down hard in a heap in the corner, he slipped in water. Felix thinks he had him hurt, he might have. He's pouring it on him, Perez is in the corner eating flush one twos, his head is being flown back. He spits his mouthguard out to buy himself some time. It worked, it also got a point docked from him. Felix getting very brave. A little too brave, he eats a heavy left which buckles his knees late.

Perez boing smart again, jabbing to the head and gut of Felix. Felix backs him to the ropes nd unleashes a wild furious flurry, Perez leaning back avoiding some of them. He spins Felix, nails him with several slapping right hooks and left hooks. Perez snaps his head back with a jab. Felix goes for a jab, he quivers and loses balance and almost does a split, he throws out his hand to hold him up. Perez lands a hard one two which backs Felix up. Perez is concentrating now looking for openings, Felix is backing up, getting tagged with jab after jab. Valera now dropping his hands, he's badly gassing.

Felix with one big burst of energy goes for it, and starts swinging for the fences, they begin trading, both landing weak haymakers, then Valera loses balance and spears Perez into the corner, He lands on top of him in between his legs. The ref helps him up. Wipes off his gloves, the hell with Perez's gloves I guess. Perez lands a heavy one two, then follows up with a left so hard, it made Felix's whole body vibrate, Felix in retreat for a second, he immediately regroups then goes wild and lands about 5 looping hooks to the head of Perez, Perez then fires back and cracks him with a hooks, they're going at it like drunken sailors fighting over the last pint. Felix falls into his arms, the ref breaks them, they both punch on the break, Perez almost nails the ref, the ref thankfully has good head movement. Both are arm weary, can barely hold their hands up to defend themselves. Then out of nowhere a massive left hook lands from Perez sending sweat flying from the mane of Valera. He's out on his feet, staggering back into towards the ropes ropes. He sidesteps, and then almost slips in the water, somehow avoiding going facefirst, he literally looked like a drunk losing his balance. Two lefts from Perez when a clubbing right sends Valera sailing face first across the ring, he spins around and braces himself on the ropes. Felix dances around, then recovers, comes forward backing Perez into the ropes, and unloads a barrage of slow motion meathooks. Perez is moving away, and does a perfect Drag Race Death Drop split in the water in the corner.:qmeparto: The ref helps him up the bell sounds, they go and walk to their corners and the ref tells them to wait, motions them back to the center of the ring, and tells them to hug. They've been through a hell of an ordeal.

Jesus H. Christ, what the **** was that?

    96-90 Perez

Then the announcer gets in the ring, his mic stops working, then they fiddle around trying to get a mic that works for almost 10 minutes (I fast forwarded) and the winner is....

    Jesus Ceballos 95-91
    Leonardo Cruz 94-92
    Eduardo Recio 94-92

    Ud for Perez

With scores that were ridiculously close. They'd have robbed Perez had he not dropped him three times.
