Lennox was bigger stronger and he is proven, so I will go with Lennox. But Savon is nice. Good skills, comes forward the entire fight, didn't rest when he had the lead. Very good fighter, but that is the amateur game, and he was a pro boxing amateurs who are only fighting amateur to get ready to turn pro. So the whole argument of Cubans destroying pros is misleading, because they themselves are in a position that they shouldn't even be amatuer. So what I am saying is that all of there accomplishments are blemished.
This argument is like a baseball player playing in the minor leagues for 12 years, and people thinking that he is better than A-Rod, or Manny Ramirez, even though there competition couldn't be more different!
No he did not. They didn't fight each other in 1999. But yes, he lost couple of fights in his career, if thats what you want to say.

There is a BIG difference between amateurs and pros. A lot of fighters who had sucessful amatuer careers, didn't have sucessful pro careers. (Jeffy Lacy, Tyrell Biggs, etc) I remember when Teofilo Stevenson was offerered five million dollars to fight Muhammad Ali in his FIRST professional fight. Let me tell you something, he would of lost, because Stevenson's chin has never been tested, he has never gone past 3 rounds, let alone fight a boxer who is equally skilled as him for 15 rounds. The same thing applies with Savon and Lewis, Lewis is a superheavyweight while Savon fought most of his amateur career as a heavyweight. How would his chin hold up, does he have the endurance to last 3 rounds, etc. Lennox Lewis didn't have the best amatuer career, but he had a very sucessful pro career, and was a totally different fighter as a pro. 26th August 1999, Houston Texas. World Championships. The Gold Medal fight was Savon vs Bennett, and Bennett won. It was on a technicality but nevertheless Bennett has that Gold Medal and Savon doesn't, bottom line.
A lot of successful amateur fighters had successful pro careers also. Lewis had an excellent amateur career otherwise he would not have been an olympic medalist. Whilst, pro is different but, I wouldn't say it's entirely different. You still need skills in pro boxing, which a good amateur career would give you. There is nothing to say that fighters like Savon could not have adjusted to the pros like Lewis, Ali, Foreman, etc did.
Well, Lennox was olympic gold winner..i think it is great achievement http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Olympic_medalists_in_boxing#Heavyweight
I would give Savon a very good chance of KOing Lewis. He was probably one of the hardest punchers in the history of amateur boxing. And Lewis was a sucker for straight punches. Besides, Savon would match Lewis in height and reach and also have a slight advantage in speed
