Sturm says he's injured (arm) so he can't fight an eliminator with Stevens for Soliman's IBF title.

IBF Chairman Lindsey Tucker says Lemieux and Martin Murray also declined a fight with Stevens and that now the offer is going to Hassan N'Dam.

    Holy crap.....

Does this mean that Golovkin might actually get to fight Soliman?
Or does he have to monkify Stevens again for the shot?????

Surely K2 can use their pull with the IBF and throw Stevens a bone, and get the Soliman fight next.:think

Isn't the WBA minor title that Sturm vacated to duck Golovkin available.

Maybe Sturm can tease the WBA into allowing him and Fletcher to fight for it, thus allowing GGG to dodge that weak mandatory and unify with Soliman.

In the meantime, Stevens is rated highly by the WBO.....perhaps Kathy Duva could work something out and get him and Quillin in the ring together.

As a plus, Stevens would actually be allowed to use his Nickname.:lol::lol:

Big Dan is saying that Stevens-N'Dam is close to being final and they would meet at Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut on Sept 20 on NBC, the big one not NBCSports.

Sturm made an entire career passing on any relevant names available, nothing new here. How the hell did he miss on guys like Abraham, Pavlik, Taylor, Martinez, Hopkins, Wright, Miranda and many more is beyond me.

Yeah, no way Stevens ducks a fight, esp with NJkam.....that guys a great boxer, but he drops everytime a L hook goes past.

Hopefully though......GGG will dominate Geale, and Soliman will do the right thing and try to avenge his countryman.:D

Sign it before the eliminator happens:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

More suprising to me that Murray and D.L passed on the fight, both of those I would have rather seen more :-(

GGG has been elevated to WBA SUPER World Champion.

If they're passing on Stevens for a better opportunity, it's that NOW vacant WBA title.:-(
