i respectfully disagree no way kid chocolate candy knocks either these guys out,, he loses easily to both these guys
You think sanctioning bodies are any less arbitrary? Theres guys in the top 40 of these sanctioning bodies who arent known outside of their immediate family A nice phonecall fropm that promotional company is enough to get one of their fighters moved up about 10 rankings.
If the 5pages so far in this thread is anything to go by there is huge interest in the fight. All the more so given that the boxers are both non American.....
Well, if I'm correct, neither of the guys had sent any contracts towards each other, so I wouldn't say that it was Sturm "avoiding" Sergio. However it's still a shame that two of the best guys never faced each other to determine the undisputed champ.
Now enters the phase of Martinez's career where I think he should retire because everything he does from here out will likely tarnish the -Martinez- image of who he was in his prime.... that being said, while I wish he would retire, maybe he still wants to compete, maybe he loves it, maybe he needs/wants money... for whatever reason he will continue fighting, this isnt a bad fight for him at this stage. Though I hope he retires.
Yeah, all three of Martinez's fans care, big deal. Martinez took the lineal middleweight title and basically wiped his ass with it. I have no sympathy for him. As I've said before, he's been ducking and dodging real competition for years now, fighting hand-picked stiffs instead. He doesn't deserve any more paydays. What he deserves, if he gets back in the ring again, is a good asskicking on his way out the door.
who the hell has Martinez ducked if you had a brain you would know Martinez is the guy who has been avoided his entire career.lol at martinez fighing stiffs lets see paul williams twice dzinzrik undefeated champion barker became ibf mw champ beat a cruiserweight with an iron in chavez jr beat murray and macklin who both beat sturm and don't try to say Martinez ducked ggg he was never in any position to fight Martinez.
GGG wasn't relevant when Sergio was healthy, its a moot point. Then I guess he should have fought GGG right off a year layoff, with limited mobility, the people who wanted that to happen are unreasonable sadists.
