Round 6 Geale pushes in against Sturm with his jab flickering. Sturm circles left and clamps a hard shot on Geale's belly before bringing his shots high and straight again. Sturm is doubling his jab, and throwing a few underhanded rights to the body, but not putting much together at once. Geale switches southpaw, then back to orthodox, trying either jab on for size. Sturm covers up as Geale tosses a 1-2 and gets picked off. Sturm counters with his jab and then leans forward. Double jab by Sturm, blocked. Jab and uppercut pulled by Sturm as he leans in and then sways quickly back, maybe trying to get Geale to provide an opening to counter. Geale is staying outside and patiently jabbing at Sturm, ducking and throwing curled rights out of a crouch. Sturm clubs him with a right on the inside. 10-9 Geale 57-57
Sturm v Geale 1. 9-10 2. 10-9 3. 10-9 4. 10-9 5. 9-10 6. 9-10 57-57 Geale gradually starting to look comfortable in there as if he has figured Sturm out. Again, Sturm throws no right hands whatsoever. Wlad would be proud of him.
Just the fact that we could be having a split scorecard is boring me. Sturm is ahead, Geale is game, in round-by-round scoring Katic 4-2 should be the proper scoring.
