I really figured Sturm would pull through since it was for 2 titles. It's okay, I went all in the GGG under of 9.5. If I win that one, I will finish up 300ish for the day.

And to the poster who said he was shocked Sturm had fans. Da fuq? He has a huge fan base in Germany. I like him too. He could have easily been the victor in this fight based on what I've read.

    really pleased geale won that
its a victory for boxing more than anything else if geale is true to his word and wants to keep pushing the envelope and fight the best
2 wins in germany and a whole lot of respect from the boxing community

I am a few years younger and a bit smaller so you could say he could have put me down at any stage

He would stop me during the sessions and tell me things i could do better. Nicest guy you could met. Humble and classly at all times.

One word of advise he gave me i will never forget was "when doing drills and sparing, fight at the intensity you would in a real fight. aim for the face even in drill because in the ring your opponent wont aim for your gloves"

His footwork was incredible even 8 years ago, one second he would be in my face and the next at side and then back again.

So happy he got the W :happy

But Chavez does not have a long reach in MW, just imagine him vs Froch, Kessler and Ward. And if Bute can hold him from coming inside, he could beat him aswell

Sturms face and body language at the end was a sign of a beaten fighter.

Was a great fight, 2 great boxers and very close at times. Geale was far busier throughout.

The German crowd would cheer every time Felix through a tripple jab like he was landing bombs

Congrats Geale, you are a bloody legend. Other sit back and whine and sook and make excuses. You just get on with it and come up with the goods. Congrats again, brilliant effort.
