    Macklin is throwing wide volleys and still pressing the action but Sturm is countering very nicely off the back foot. Sturm is still not using his jab as much as he usually finds success with, but is landing power punches while stepping away and blocking the majority of Macklin's. Nice hook by Sturm as he takes a big step to the side. Macklin has a jab and right deflected. Nice double left hook to the body by Sturm.

    80-72, Sturm still isn't landing enough to win rounds. I could see it being as close as maybe 78-74 but any score for Sturm at this point is utterly absurd to me.

    Sturm's initiating the punches more now at the beginning of the 8th. First minute is his. He's keeping it at long range, and it's working better for him.

    He's back into it now. Good round for Sturm.

    Sturm is still landing nice jabs and counters. The difference is Macklin's workrate is falling off. 5-3 Macklin. He needs a big 4 rounds.
