Lack of head movement...he was a sitting duck. Sturm did what he needed to do.

Martinez would own sturm with movement and counterpunches, I want sturm to step it up finally these kind of matches are annoying.

Super slow motion: Hearns is backed into a corner by a 1-2, leans down, pulls straight up against the turnbuckle with his hands down and Sturm (having propped his left forearm across Hearns' belly for leverage) times him with a perfect lead right up into the kisser, that violently jerks Ronald's face 180° with his bottom lip quivering and his mustache whipping in the breeze like a flag.

    Then, the long slump goodnight.

I'd like to see how Sturm would handle a volume puncher like Paul Williams.

The potential of a Williams-Wright outcome seems to be a probability, imo.

its so frustrating to see professional fighters with no defense who can't figure out the most obvious things. how do you make it anywhere in the pro ranks without learning how to keep your hands up or move your head? not to mention standing completely still right in front of your opponent after throwing punches like a sitting duck. terrible performance by hearns.

i would love to see sturm fight fernando guerrero some time in the near future if he's willing to step up to the plate and fight someone of consequence. i think guerrero has a really good shot at whooping some ass in that fight.

Anyone with questionable defense, Sturm would handle. Too precise for PW.

Sturm vs the Martinez - Dzinziruk winner is the real fight.

A lot of people have a good chance of beating him the problem is sturm isnt willing to make those fights and is happy on beating lesser gys for easy money back in germany.

what I do not understand is why Ronald Hearns did not hire Emanual Steward. That would have helped him in this fight. Ronald needs more experience and a good trainer, if he gets that he might be able to do better, but to be honest I do not know.

When Sturms gets a TKO you know the opponent was absolute garbage

That happened so fast (or my reaction time to anything right now is so ****) that I just wanted to see the instant replay because it looked like a bad, premature stoppage from my own pathetic state of mind. When they got to the replay, it was not instant but I was lucky enough to have my browser freeze for five minutes and then crash, missing the whole replay. But, reading this, it looks like Hearns was pretty ****ed, so okay.

 Damn. I knew it was too good to be true, to find a Mahir Oral fan who happened to be a professional boxer and a champion.

    Perhaps..

Strum however allows himself to be backed up at times and at length behind his shell which paralyzes his offensive attack. I envision a scenario where PTP keeps Sturm in his cocoon off of sheer volume. Again a Williams-Wright, Pac-Clottey, Froch-AA type of outcome, potentially.
