Felix had a great jab, good defense and an underated left hook to the body that he stopped a couple of guys with. Joppy did not have much of an amatuer career but had naturally fast hand speed and threw excellent combinations. Plus he D.C tough. I actually think prime Joppy is going to win a UD in this one. I like his speed and toughness over the more technical Sturm. Sturm had the fight of his life against a fat Oscar but he never really impressed me after that. He tended do well against slower guys like Masoe and Castillo. Joppy was much faster than those guys and liked to engage.
I agree with AS. Joppy was no great, but he was good enough to beat Sturm. At least Joppy wasn't afraid to fight top comp. Strum blatantly avoided Arthur Abraham, and later Golovkin.
