Felix Sturm Walking Around at 191.8 lbs

    [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][SIZE=+1][/SIZE][/FONT] WBA middleweight champion Felix Sturm is targeting WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik for a May/June unification showdown. Sturm, who hasn’t fought since July, says he is currently at walking around at 191.8 pounds, nearly 32 pounds over the middleweight limit.

    Getting pretty heavy, he's probably going to have to go up to 168 at this point, where the money is anyway.

    Arthur would have bashed Pavliks forehead in! Team Pavlik still are thanking the Lord that they didn't meet up!

    Sturm said it will be no problem for him to make weight. There will be negotiations with Pavlik this month and he wants the fight to happen in Cologne/Germany. Roach is willing to prepare him here.

    Seems awfully heavy. But then again, Sturm doesn't have an ounce of fat on him at 160, so I bet he doesn't look too chubby at 191.

    I bet he does. He's lanky, but not tall enough to be carrying 190 without looking flabby.

    Then he doesn't want it very badly. Right or wrong, Pavlik won't go. I've talked to people that know him.

    well Ricky hatton walks around near 200 lbs and still makes 140. so he should be alright

    I'm surprised he wants to fight Kelly next, with this lay off i'd figure he would fight a warmup.

    Anyone think Sturm's boxing ability will improve with Roach? I'm kinda excited to see him fight.
