Felix 'Tito' Trinidad vs. Floyd 'Money' Mayweather @ 147lbs

Tito, is one the best welterweights of all time. Who is the best welterweight Floyd, has beat? Judah??

 

I never said Floyd fights like Oscar, I said Oscar was a pure boxer for that fight. Not like he was a boatload of activity for that fight. He just danced and Trinidad had no answer, pretty much like he had for every good pure boxer he came up against in his career. Mayweather would employ the same amount of movement, a sounder defense, just as authoritative a jab, but unlike Oscar doesnt fade in the late rounds, but routinely gets better as the fight goes on.

 

Floyd would thoroughly outclass Trinidad. It would be a shutout similar to the one Tito got from Winky.

 

Trinidad, was a natural welterweight. That fight was at 160.

 

What does that have to do with ability? Btw, its not like Trinidads record at 147 is incredible by any stretch. Coked out washed up Whitaker. Pineda, Compass and Oba Carr. Do we really count Oscar?

His best wins were at 154, in Joppy and Vargas.

 

froyd would not step in the ring with Tito Trinidad. He would either fake retire, say Trinidad isn't a big enough name and he's not his own man, or he would say "I won't do business with Don King."

but bottom like is froyd would duck Tito. Most likely, he'd prefer to handpick someone like Kevin Lueshing or Maurice Blocker.

Floyd would outbox him pretty clean. Tito was shown more than once to be susceptible to early knockdowns, I see Mayweather capitalizing on that. For the remainder of the fight I think Floyd out-manouvres Tito kinda like Oscar. Perhaps a shade more convincing in the closing stages... Kinda like Winky. :yep

 

PBF never capitalizes on anything kinda like the JMM fight

 

Sure he does! Kinda like Hatton! Or Corrales! For the record I'm not saying he'd score a KO, just that he'd be apt to score an early knockdown and wrangle out a decision... Kinda like the JMM fight.

 

I can't see Floyd dropping more than a round or two.

Vastly superior boxer to Tito, and he would make this a boxing match.

Oscar won eight, maybe nine rounds. Floyd would win more.

 

Mayweather by a rather easy decision.

 

i voted for floyd but only after assuming a legal fight with no plasters.

Great Match up...Classic boxer versus puncher match up....Trinidad is strong tough, with underrated hand speed and very determined. He could be outboxed and was troubled by movement and a good jab. A cracked out past prime Sweet Pea lasted the distance with a prime Tito and won some rounds, DLH IMO boxed his ears off and Tito got a gift, we all know what happened with Jones and Hopkins.

1)Mayweather is smaller but has always had underrated power and strength once he moved passed lightweight.
2)Accuracy+speed+mass=power and I'd say alot of people would be surprised at Mayweather's ability to earn Tito respect as a puncher.
3) Trinidad was great but very predictable and put to much weight on his front foot which makes you susceptible to jabs and crosses Mayweather's best punch
4)Tito is a slow started but would try to impose his power and strength on Mayweather but will have minimal success being that when Mayweather is cornered he still makes you miss and pay and ties up.
5)Mayweather shades the early rounds....Tito comes on in the mid rounds...and from 9-12 Mayweather's superior accuracy will get a descsion in a close but clear win.
