Nobody ever beat trinidad in his prime if they stood right infront of him, Hopkins moved all night, Winky moved back everytime Tito got in hitting distance, Roy is just a freak of nature(would do the exact same to pavlik IMO) Tito is much more slick than Pavlik with similar power and better skills and speed, Tito by decision for me after one of the fights of the decade

I don't understand how anyone can pick Tito. He wasn't even really a middleweight and Pavlik is a massive powerpuncher. I picked Hopkins to beat Pavlik but now people seem to be really underestimating Pavlik.

Tito wasn't slick he just stood toe to toe and bludgeoned people.

Exactly -- It's a good fight for about 5 rounds, and then Tito gets hammered hard.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions so fast. Pavlik is physically stronger but Tito was also a VERY hard puncher, who knows what would have happened. He was not as good as Pavlik at middle but no chump either. Losing to Winky and BHOP (albeit almost shutouts) is nothing to be ashamed about. BHOP also destroyed Pavlik being 43 years old, and who knows how Pavlik would have handled such a good boxer as Winky.

Both would have a puncher's chance, Pavlik could have easily hurt Tito, but Tito could have also caught him hard.

Tito beating Joppy and Mayorga is not that great, those guys were not really that great at middleweight. They were good fighters, but not close to the level Pavlik fought with Taylor two times.

    Pavlik by KO.

    Chin being the difference.

It is a tossup, Pavlik's main advantage was a better chin. (Tito's chin was not too good, but , his main problem was his legs.) On the other hand, Tito had almost as much punching power, better hand speed and better combos, better skills. When Tito wasn't shot his two losses were against master boxers like Winky and BHOP. Pavlik got embarrased even worse than Tito against a 43 year old Hopkins and he would not have an easy time against a fighter like Winky. Tito always loved facing brawlers. It would be a good fight in my opinion.
