Please don't tell me Foster would KO him as I am quite certain he would! My question is who would you call the greater of these 2? If you were doing a ranking type of list which of the 2 gets a higher placement and why?
Being from Philly I was sure this question was who had the better left hook. I'll need to think on this one. I really think it depends on how you feel about Trinidad fight with de la Hoya. both had long reigns although foster was undisputed, and up until the fight with Oscar they fought similar levels of comp. Tito moved up and one some belts but was .dismantled more than once.
For me, Tito was never the no.1 in any of his divisions...well, junior middle I guess. Light heavy>junior middle. Trinidad's actual P4P achievements aren't that impressive to me. He was an absolute dangerman at each weightclass he was in and either no.2 or top 3 at welter, JMW and middle. Awesome, I love him. But I'd rank Foster higher. His light heavy reign wasn't spectacular in terms of opposition but it's the more esteemed achievement IMO.
I hadn't really thought about this before, but saw a top 100 list and was kinda surprised (not necesarilly disagreeable) to find them side by side...I kinda thought Foster at first, but after a few minutes it didn't seem quite so absurd.
yeah like flea said, with me scoring the tito-hoya fight for hoya I can't ever call tito a welterweight number 1. at lmw he beat vargas which definitely put him number 1 (although i think the actual lineage was with the wbc belt). at mw he lost to hopkins so was never number 1. he's basically a man who was a top contender for a decade with a short stint at the top ion a ******* division. not overly impressive in terms of the big picture as many have had similar successes. Foster ruled LHW with an iron fist and he did what all greats should do in testing himself outside of his comfort zone. So yeah for me it's Foster and it aint really close.
so let's say you grade both resume's at a D (or whatever) yet you place Foster's achievements higher, wouldn't that indicate Foster rates higher or is achievement no biggy for you?
Trinidad..Much better boxer..better counter puncher..The only thing I would really worry about would be Tito having to get big enough to fight Foster. I mean your talking about a 20 to 25 pound difference here...So do you think they meet in the middle and fight at 160?
I think you need to stop posting nonesense.....You also need to stop posting one statement and then coming back 5 minutes later and making and equally opposite claim....I meant that as non ofensively as possible....
