Margo would likely go to the body in attempt to break Tito down for the long haul. If he got into a slugging match, he's completely out-matched and doesn't have the one punch power to hurt Tito significantly IMO, as he's far from a very accurate puncher in the first place, whereas Tito's accuracy is underrated, and would be a very good asset against such a plodding, open fighter as Margarito.

And no, I wouldn't give Margo much chance. I think he's quite overrated these days.

This subject has been popping up a lot lately.

Would be a lot of fun to watch.

I like Tito inside the distance.

It would be like Mayo all over again except Margo would be less entertaining as Tito t's off on him in route to a mid rd stoppage.

Yes, Tito's accuracy is underrated, but his chin is not.
He's been down many times in his career and I don't know how can anyone be so certain that Margo won't knock him down, especially since Tito would always be right there to be hit.
Remember that apart from the Santos fight (I have to take a look at that third round again, hadn't noticed he was WOBBLED as you say) Margarito has not been hurt in years.
Tito on the other hand got hurt a lot and never backs up.
That's why I'm giving Margo a good chance for a fight like this.

Tito got up from every single knockdown in his career though, and would often come back to stop the opponent. Either way, as I said, Margarito simply doesn't have the handspeed, explosiveness, or accuracy to land cleanly enough to the head to put Tito down or out. His power is in accumulation, usually to the body, but in that case he'd be far too open for the bombs Tito would be winging at him, which is why I give him little chance.

Margarito hasn't been hurt in years because he hasn't faced a big puncher in years, and has NEVER faced a puncher even remotely like Tito.

    Respected :D

I understand that all the hype and nuthugging of Margarito makes you mad.
But by saying this you give no credit to the man's chin. I am not saying he can't be hurt, but his chin is one of the best I've seen in years at those weights, it's unfair to say he hasn't been hurt only cause all of his opponents were weak punchers.

Honestly, we all have to really watch how Tito got KD most of the time. If you really look at his feet, almost everytime he got KD was due to his balance more than just getting hurt. That's why he always got up very fast. If you ask me, Tito got KD serously only twice. One with B-Hop and the other one with the first KD he got from RJJ. Other than that, Tito got droped from being without balance.

He has a very good chin, it's just being overrated recently due to the clean shots he took against Cotto, who himself is more of a B level puncher who relies on accumulation and accuracy to wear his opponents down. Against a big puncher, I seriously doubt Margo would've shrugged them off the way he did, and we've seen that before against a pretty good puncher at 154 in his bout with Santos. Against a Tito, Hearns, Jackson, Cuevas, etc he gets hurt often.

tito would feast on margo, he is almost perfect for him
the real question is HOW DURABLE IS MARGO?
and i am confident that tito would KO margo even though margo is soldier boy
because tito at his prime at 147 is a MOSTER

I have no problem accepting this.
But my point was, off balanced or hurt, Tito COULD go down vs Margarito and a knockdown means a 10-8 round most of the time, regardless of the reason Tito would fall down ;)

This post sounds better, except for the word in BOLD :good

PS: He took similar clean punches vs Williams too, and he shrugged them off the same way. But I think the fight with Cotto DID influence a lot of people as far as Margo's chin is concerned.

that is realy true, i realy rate cotto but many people have hyped his actual punch power, he his a hard puncher but not a pure ko puncher like Tito ects
he relies on breaking bodies down then finishing them off,
like any typical fighter of this style cotto is a slow starter because of his style, he finishes well late in fights
