it was a sarcastic post lol ..i don't really know I'm aware he beat robinson .. but so did a few others .. and didn't robinson beat dude a handful of times like he did lamotta? even the sun shines on a dogs butt every once in awhile .. it happens .. Trinidad always had trouble with boxers .. it's not the rough and tumble brawler types that gave him trouble it was guys with a game plan that could stick move and keep him turning .. going away from his left .. side stepping to the right .. if Carmen has the right game plan and can avoid trinidads fire power ..then it'll be a long night for tito .. but if Trinidad does Trinidad and starts teeing off ... it's gonna be hard to see carm win ! i dunno this is really a pick um fight for me ..neither guys going anywhere ..Trinidad could get discouraged and sink into trying to go for the big left like we seen in the wright and Hopkins fights .. it's not a bad match up at all
make that side stepping to the left .. if they're both rightys carman gonna have to go the opposite direction
I don't think Trinidad would seriously hurt Basilio, but over time Carmen would wear out Tito, tko 12
Yes, a good observation, but a little exaggerated, not all were super human, however, Basilio came pretty close. I would favour him over Felix for most of the reasons already posted. In his first fight at middle Basilio, showed great resilience in splitting wins in 2 close 15 rounders with Sugar Ray, despite appreciable physical disadvantages. In his second fight at middle, Felix, crumbled in 12 against Hopkins. Basilio, had too much inner fortitude for Trinidad to overcome.
In their first fight round 13 Robinson nailed Basilio with his famous lefthook A+ right on the button. Sugar set him up perfectly. They should've counted 100 over Carmen. He hardly got buzzed. He stood up to it. The best punch I ever saw a guy shake off like nothing.
