This is a tough call. I can envision Tito stopping Buddy. But, I can also see Buddy giving Felix some big problems. He wouldn't just play into Trinidad's hands and make it a firefight. McGirt was a hell of a lot better than Oba Carr. And Carr gave Tito all he could handle for several rounds.
Trinidad telegraphed his jab too much I think he would have a hard time setting up his power punches with his jab.
Buddy was just short of being a great, imo but he could sure give greats all they wanted. I would make Tito favourite but this is no easy night for him, anything less than 100% from him could mean a loss
I don't see Buddy getting stopped .He'd give Felix a good fight ,the guy had Ball's, he'd hang in there IMO .I do see Tito getting the win but Buddy takes him the distance.
If Meldrick Taylor can stop him I believe Trinidad could. Buddy was very good. Trinidad at 47 was a serious puncher. I think McGirt is too small to get through 12 rounds with Tito. He could beat some good Welters but Trinidad at that weight is asking a bit much.
Trinidad had about 5 inches in height on Buddy and real quick hands.. Buddy would box but he would be waking a tightrope. Tito can hurt you with either hand. It would be s fun bout while it lasted.
If McGirt can bring 2 good arms to the fight....McGirt by SD upset. McGirt with 1-1/2 good arms gets k.o.'ed.
I have Trinidad as much as I respect McGirts prowess he is slightly undersized to handle Trinidad and always seemed to lack urgency when he needed it.
I think Buddy was a long way from being a great. What did he do to warrant being a great or near it? He isn't even Hall of Fame is he? Which he shouldn't be. He lost to Meldrick in the first round, and always had that rotator cuff as an excuse.
