I don't think Bud has the firepower at 147 to stop a huge welter with a terminator approach. I could be wrong here as Trinidad could be outboxed and befuddled by lateral movement and a jab to stop his rhythm, but prime Tito puts pressure on guys that leaves opponents exhausted and uncomfortable.
Hmm, this one is very weird. I think Trinidad is the better fighter and I think he'd beat a lot of past welterweights that I would actually favor against Crawford. That being said, I think Crawford's style is horrific for Tito and matches up well against him. Gun to my head I say Tito, otherwise not so sure.
I voted Trinidad but it’s really a toss up, if Tito is able to draw Crawford into a fire fight, he stops him. Which is totally possible given Crawford’s personality and willingness to mix it up. On the other hand… if Crawford sticks to boxing, Tito is in big trouble.
De La Hoya and Trinidad fought on fairly close terms, yes I know most/many feel Oscar was robbed but Trinidad kept up with him all the way and closed strong. Are we to assume Crawford is on that level? Trinidad lost to Hopkins and Wright and then Jones Jr when they were both old, is Crawford of this level? I think Crawford has a hard right hand and is accurate which I think is a detriment to Trinidad but I just find it tough to pick against him here. Would be a good fight
This reminds me of the Foster vs Spinks thread,,this a tough fight to call convincingly for either side. 50/50
