Taylor would win if he used the same gameplan he employed against Hopkins. Trinidad would likely be too worn down for a late surge.

Trinidad for me, with his preferred wraps. Hopkins was a bit of a shell at 160 by the time Taylor beat him. IMO he gained a new lease of life once the weight restriction was loosened.

Look at the difference in physical strength between Jermain and Tito. Hopkins was able to move Tito around and wear him out. Jermain didn't seem to mind until later in the Hopkins fights.

Taylor too unintelligent to avoid Tito's onslaught. Looks a lot like Tito vs Joppy. Tito by KO.

This is a really good match up I think I may have made this thread years ago actually if I recall correctly. Either way I think it would be a very good fight. I think Taylor would be a head but I feel Trinidad was similar fighter to Pavlik and would get a similar result. I think Trinidad gets to Taylor in the mid to late rounds and stops him. I feel Trinidad was underrated as a middleweight by some, I think the version of him that Hopkins defeated was a very tough proposition for just about anyone.

Taylor would win the early rounds but Trinidad would put the pressure on him and stop him late. Taylor was easy to hit once his opponent got inside his long arms.

Hmmm... let's see.... Taylor had a **** poor defense.... pathetic stamina.... and a mediocre chin. I think Trinidad by KO is a pretty safe bet.

    Taylor was garbage.
