Pacquaio, much more speed, better footwork, better boxer, and he has the power to hurt Tito. I think his chin looked good against Cotto to, who granted isn't as powerful as Tito, but Tito is a bit of an accumulation guy himself. The southpaw angle may give problems, it did give Tito a few problems against Whitaker. Tito's own athleticism evens things up, Pacquaio has never fought an athlete like Tito before

Got to go with Trinidad in this one Pac is alot faster but has to get in range to get off and Tito has fast hands himself and Pacs defense means he'll get hit at some point and most likely hurt and when that happens Titos one of the best at closing the show.

I tentatively agree with this theory. I think very highly of Trinidad at 147. Don't think he was quite as plodding as he was at higher weights. Pac has made guys look old (Hoya, Mosely) and very limited (Clottey). I expect he'd give Trinidad lots of trouble. We've not seen Pac hit by the likes of Trinidad yet. It's possible Trinidad wouldn't catch him, but until I see a little more from Pac at 147, I'll go with Tito. Great tribute to Pac IMO that this seems to be a tossup.

Manny Pacquaio's movement would certainly of given him problems, could he keep it up though? when Tito got in that robot stalker mode he was pretty relentless, plus he could punch like a mule, and as started, he was! a terrific finisher.

Also, Pacquaio has no glove defense, he only uses his legs, thats why Clottey managed to hit him at will with the lead rights, not to mention Clotttey was also able to catch him on the tail end of those punches because he has longer arms, as does Tito.


Now i think about it, although Pac could pose massive problems with his movement, i just dont see how he would avoid contact consistently enough against the the longer armed Tito who could hit like train and put intense pressure on when he got into his rhythm, i see Tito getting outboxed early but him catching upto Manny and taking him out.

I know Joppy stood infront of Tito, but look what Tito did to Joppy, that is how devastating this man could be, he also beat Reid, Vargas, Camacho and Carr who by most peoples most estimation where superior fighters technically.

 

How much did DLH land on Pacquiao? How often did Tito hurt DLH?

One of the biggest fallacies I think that goes around in boxing is: "He has massive power, and at some point he's going to land, and it'll all be over." No puncher can load up full power on every shot unless the guy standing in front of him is sub-par. Tito will land, but his window of opportunities will be so small that, combined with Pacquiao's movement, he's not going to be getting the kind of leverage to put his lights out. You keep a guy off balance and he can't hurt you.
