it is comparable because my point is that weather it was due to Parkinson’s, old age, inactivity or little green men, Ali was shot when he fought Berbick. And Trinidad was shot when he fought Wright. And to completely bypass this fact in an effort to use a stylistic discrepancy as to why he’d lose to someone else ( in a different division and while prime ) with a few similarities doesn’t tell the whole story. Trinidad’s win over Mayorga was a win over another past prime opponent and not a natural middle either and the only fight he had in three years. It’s possible that Trinidad would always lose to Wright but I don’t think that this answers the question of weather or not he’d beat Marlon starling ( which he may or may not. )
Well were gonna have to agree to disagree, i don't agree that Trinidad was shot. I'm not saying he was at his absolute peak, but it's not like he was washed up, as @Bronze Tiger pointed out Wright was the underdog vs Trinidad, if Trinidad was that shot he wouldn't be favoured vs Wright, and your not gonna change my mind on that, and vice a versa for me convincing you. So i'll respectfully say i respect your opinion and we'll leave it at that.
Funny because jr.welter Anthony Stephens almost stopped Tito in the early rounds. Anthony Stephens. You saw what Winkys style did to Tito who had no clue how to even deal with that. Marlon perfected that style. Tito isn't coming close to putting Starling Away Mich less winning. Kevin Howard. Mayweather Sr. Simon Brown. Lupe Aquino. Tommy Ayers. None of these guys could best Starling and Ayers was 5'11 and was on a tear when Starling met him. Molinares knocked out Starling AFTER the bell. Honeyghan got chewed up and if he hadn't clowned in the first fight he would have beaten Curry. This guy fought everybody and never even got knocked down much less knocked out. And Starling was very strong on the inside - ask Simon Brown about that.
Marlon could do damage to a joker if he wanted to. And he would decision Tito by good margin or stop him late.
