Brown was too reckless, Trinidad would lay him out probably after hitting the deck himself. Would be fun to watch while it lasted.
Yeah, fun fight while it lasts, but Tito wins by stoppage. More firepower, quicker hands, better arsenal, and just overall a tier above Brown. Tito TKO 8.
Tito only loses to the very best at ww imo. You basically have to outspeed him on the defensive unless you can match his power. Oscar showed how average Tito can be made to look, but imagine over 15 rounds, it'd take something special to keep him away for that long.
I don't agree with that, i think his dodgy chin, defence and bad legs make him vulnerable to an upset against good, strong solid hitting durable boxer-punchers who might not necessarily be great overall. IN other words fighters a couple of tiers above someone like Vargas. Brown is a good example of the sort of level i mean, but i think back to his fight with Trice and how he abandoned his well-rounded skillset so early in his career and i think Tito does beat him more often than not.
Quartey perhaps? That level? Or Palomino? Cos i'd probably favour Teets over them both. I don't view Tito as fragile to be honest. I think he can hold up to most punchers. He was schooled by both hopkins and winky but that was up at MW.
Yeah Palomino especially is a good exampleNot saying i'd favour them to win either, just that it's not TOO hard to imagine them having enough offensive success to get the upper hand and grind out a win for themselves. To be fair though to Tito, it's more above 147 where i'm against the idea of having to move\be cautious and defensive\slick to beat or have significant success against Tito.Back in the day it was mostly excessive hype due to him knocking out or beating up lesser talents. Sure if you have the talent of William Joppy or Fernando Vargas it might be a good idea to fight smart and safety-first, but smashing them up when they go toe to toe(while it may be impressive)does not make you an immovable object of offensive prowess and strength. There are a lot of fighters that have had a far bit more in the bag than those types.
I agree with that I just find it difficult to picture him losing an offensive battle. At welter he was big and would be bigger than a lot of guys he'd be facing in the division. Would have been great had he had the welterweight ambition of oscar and fought quartey and pea whilst both had straps round their waist. It'd give us a better idea of his level.
