Or reach, or height, or physicality.

Brown didn't even stop Blocker mid rounds, how in the world would Cotto do it?

Cotto would make it competitive but I don't see a way a prime Blocker loses to him.

As far as 'achievements' go Cotto is a massive overachier, due of course to the dismal era he has fought in.

In all honesty, I don't think he'd get past Yori Boy Campas, to say anything of the likes of Breland, Blocker, Espana.

Starling was past it by the time he fought Blocker.

You guys are really dissing Cotto. Prime Judah was no walk in the park. Does anyone remember his barnburner with Mosely?

Cotton was very strong at WW.

Agreed. I dont think Brown was even in Cotto's class to be honest, Blocker either. Im an old schooler myself but Cotto was no slouch. He has holes in his defense but hes an exciting offensive fighter with underated boxing skills (when he uses them), and I know a lot of fighters who sparred him and faced him and they all say he hits very hard.

Excuse me; don't drop a palm to face on me you ****ing spastic. Cotto does not hit as hard as Brown.

And Sister Sledge; that's why I said 'taking everything into account'. Nunn was bigger and Starling had never fought above welterweight before. Hence Blocker's win was more relevant.

Starling himself said he only felt he was past it wen he tried to get back into boxing after a lay-off post-Blocker. So I stand by it; Blocker looked better than Nunn against Starling.

Prime Judah?! Don't think so. The fact it wasn't a walk in the park is exactly why I don't rate Cotto all that much.

Cotto is one of my favourite fighters by the way.

I put Cotto in Browns class, maybe a hair better. He eats Blocker up.

One thing about the Starling-Blocker fight. Didn't Moocher get a cut late in the fight and panic, essentially giving up the last few rounds? It was like the wind left his sail.

He was slow early on in the fight as well. A typical Starling performance.

But then again Judah capitulated as always so I can't give much credit to Cotto there if you're trying to take credit from Blocker ;) :good

Can you imagine Brown taking longer than about 8 rounds to put Margarito in his grave?

Blocker was a good fighter, but he wasn't at the level you seem to believe he was at. He falls on the level of a Cory Slinks type fighter.

I don't like people dissin Cotto but the dissers aren't exactly talking poop.

It's silly to think Cotto could come close to what Trinidad did to Blocker.

Blocker was better than Spinks, without doubt IMO...but maybe you mean in terms of what they achieved? In that case Cory possibly does have more meat to his resume.

I don't know if one can say Blocker was better. Slinks, waa the better technician.
