What has he done to be regarded as an ATG by some? Is his win over Oscar really so good that it elevates him to ATG status?

Tito's best wins are Campus, Carr, Pernell, Oscar (which was a loss IMO), Reid, Joppy, Vargas and Mayorga.

In that time he unified at 147lbs, unified at 154 and took a title at 160lbs. He's an ATG and I'm a De La Hoya fan.

The guy is hands down an ATG! He was so dominant from the start of his career fighting at welterweight. He steam rolled Mo Blocker who was a solid welter in his first title fight to become one of the youngest welterweight champ at age 20 (like Tyson) The began to clean out the division he beat contenders at the time like Garcia, Carr, Barnes, Campas who was like 56-0 at the time. Dominated still capable ring legends like Hector Camacho and Pernell Whitaker will ease. The Delahoya win was huge as it was a mega fight between two unbeaten p4p champs. David Reid was an unbeaten champion and a Gold Medalist who was a good boxer, Tito handled Reid and the move up in weight by dominating Reid, so much for the argument that Tito cant beat boxers, Reid was a very schooled boxer. Then we have Vargas 20-0 bad boy nobody wants to fight, and Tito nearly knocks him out in the 1st round, but beats Vargas by a 12th round tko and Vargas is never quite the same. Joppy also thought to be a good champion barley makes it out of round 1 and is taken apart in vicious fashion via KO5! The loss to Hopkins is to another ATG, the Mayorga fight was great Tito gave him a beating!! The Wright fight, well lets just sat Tito was at the end of his career and Winky is a ***** to fight ask anyone! I don't really count the Jones fight as he was way past it but there is no shame in losing to RJJ who is also hands down an ATG!!

    ATG.

The only person who could beat him in the peak of his prime was another peak Oscar.

Do you consider DLH an all time great? How many consecutive title defenses Trinidad had at 147? How many undefeated fighters did he defeat? How many good/great names did he defeat or face? How many former gold medalist did he face and defeat? What was the combine record of his former opponents and how many of them were champs? Three division champ facing known opponents with no special demands:D Now ask yourself if hes an ATG?

You can tell the people who been watching boxing since 2008 in this thread

Tito is easily an ATG...he was near unstoppable at 147 when he was tearing through everyone.
