Felix Verdejo is a 22 year old 5'9 Super Featherweight/Lightweight 18-0 13 KO's. Born in and fighting out of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Uncle Bob knows a good thing when he sees it, especially shiny diamonds in the rough, and potential huge moneymakers so he snagged Felix the moment he decided to turn pro, he was voted 2013 Prospect of the Year, he's off to a rip roaring start so far he's looked like a juggernaut tearing through his competition like a ot knife through butter. Before his pro career he was well on his way to medaling at the 2012 Olympics until he was beaten by Lomachenko, which is very forgivable. Of all of the hot up and coming prospects Felix might be one of the best, who unfortunately competes in a less than stellar division. Verdejo is on his way to be the "New Hispanic Promise", let's hope he has a better chin than Juanma, and he can go far.Arum sure hopes so. So Check Out Puerto Rico's Next Star. And maybe Next Big Thing:toney:toney:toney:toney

Clearly Verdejo's a fantastic talent, but IMO it's time start steering him towards some more challenging fights. OK, he's young and there's plenty of time, but I don't see any reason for him to accumulate a GRJr-esque resume.

He has, at least, been keeping very busy, and there is an argument that given his youth he could use a little more seasoning in the pro ranks but I'd hope that by the end of 2015 we'll see him in the ring with a top 30 opponent.

He has next level written all over him, but he does more seasoning, I'd hate to see him or Pedraza ruined before they can become the stars they have the potential to be.

When he fights somebody that can actually fight then we'll care

I thought Verdejo's performance had dropped off recently from what people were saying. I did not see that, I thought he did very well against a tough defensive minded fighter. You could see Bravo at the end was very happy to have made it the distance. Although he prevented Verdejo from landing to the head cleanly on most occasion's, I think his elation the fight was over says he sure felt those shots.

Very heavy handed fighter but could easily end up like Dulorme. Jose Benavidez Jr. is the future at 130!
