I.d.k what anyone says...a win over price will be the best on his resume...but I think pricey seriously ko's joshua...timing is key and I think price could possibly fight fury very soon aswell
Whyte should be the gatekeeper to Joshua when it comes to opponents without a decent win on their cv. Especially domestic ones. Eddie will test the water on this one though. I don't think he wants to put Joshua in with a live body until 2018.
Price would have a puncher's chance against AJ. Needs a decent win or two before getting the shot though IMO.
This David Price supporting account is beyond embarrassing. Price has long been the heavyweight division's punch line and the silly threads and his idle boasting of getting the better of people in sparring years ago won't change that.
Fingers crossed for Eric Molina, even that is a mismatch but Price deserves nothing, he doesn't even deserve a British title shot. The fact Price is even being talked about after getting battered twice by Grandad Thompson and KTFO by a Fat Bloke is a joke, a real kick in the teeth to British boxing fans who are paying good money to support Joshua. I don't think Joshua wants to do that to the British boxing fans, he knows nobody wants to see Price get KTFO again, it's getting boring, we've seen him beaten up a few times now by bang average fighters. I'm not digging out Joshua here, it would be Hearn and Sky Sports I'll be savaging if Price is selected.
I'd like to see Price fight Charles Martin think it would be a decent match up. It's a least a test see how his chin holds up. If and its a big IF he was to get through that he'd put himself back in the mix to get a big fight and a payday which he's obviously looking for.
Lots of people here are saying it's a bad match but also making excuses in advanced for AJ and/or Hearn to make the fight.
Jennings, Miller, Washington, Duhaupas are all easy made fights much better than Price so if that fight is made then there's little excuse on Hearns part other than trying to milk the British public of the hard earned cash to watch another one sided domestic dust up. I was hoping to see the incredibly overrated Pulev get the call and get demolished but it appears he's priced himself out.
Yes, it says he's a 'Briton of Nigerian origin' which is factually correct. Ie: he's British. And just to check, do you have an issue with Britons from ethic minorities? Are you a racist? Yes or no?
Maybe Pulev's heading for a mandatory position. I don't know what Hearn offered him. Pulev might be overrated but he'd be a very reasonable opponent on paper. He's better than Stiverne or Haye, imo, which really isn't saying much I know. Still no word on whether Hearn offered Ortiz the AJ fight. A win over Malik Scott will do little for Ortiz.
