Josey. Mate I dont think it was a fix. The ref stopped it so he would have been in on it as would have Roy. The loss cost RJJ far more on his ego and the BHOP fight to make it worth it in my opinion. Green would have been risking far far too much to be involved. However I have no concrete evidence one way or the other. I was just commenting on someone saying that fenech might be lying about having the bet. he did have it and he did win big

I'd be looking at how the market reacted to all these plunges.
If it was 8/1 before the bets were laid, it probably should have been around 3's or shorter after.
    Just a thought.

What a load of crap - odds of 82/1 would have seen quite a few people throwing a lazy $100 or more on a Green stoppage in the first round.

Anyone who thinks RJJ was in on a fix ask yourselves why he stood there and struggled to stay on his feet while Green battered him instead of just staying down after he was initially dropped.

All this rubbish about illegal punches, illegal handwraps, fixes etc is just that - a load of rubbish.

Green hurt RJJ with the jab to the body, RJJ backed up to the ropes like he usually does, Green charged him and caught him with a legal shot on the temple that dropped him. RJJ went down in an extremely humiliating manner - remember his arse stuck up in the air while he struggled to get to his feet like a drunken old man? - and Green went to work on him, landing several effective uppercuts that rocked RJJs head back while he threw nothing back in attack. RJJ was out on his feet, the ref stopped the fight, that's all she wrote.

Get over it, conspiracy theorists and haters :blabla

pops the odds were a lot higher then 8/1 more around the 80/1. But I am sure there are plenty who say they were on it after the event then were actually on. As i said speaking with jeff before he said he was betting on that as well as a few others.

I agree that the fight wasn't a fix but that wasn't a shot to the temple, it hit Jones on the ear/to the back of his head, that's where the parts of the brain responsible for vision and equilibrium are, he wasn't hurt and Green didn't land anything else. Jones looked out on his feet but not in the way you think. Green was very lucky with how that fight went and the dumb**** still hasn't cashed in since then.

the $1000 was quoted on perth radio by brad hardie who is one of fenechs bum chums. hyder also confirmed with fenech that the bet was laid! from memory it was even put on here in perth?!

Imbru the star city casino had odss of 69/1 on rd 1, I went rds 3-7 at odds of $24-$39 so unfortunately you are wrong on this one!

As has been established a number of times previous, Roy moved as the Green shot landed - watch it again if you have to.

The blow disarmed Roy, and Green was all over him.

You may well be right that a strike in that region effects the part of the brain responsible for vision and equilibrium, and if so, could there be any better reason to stop a fight than a fighter being vision & equilibrium effected and not retaliating while being pumbled?

Probably time to get over it - the fight was 6 months ago!

I got 67-1 for the 1st rd KO,i can't remember it being higher odds on any site i checked in the lead up however i did notice about 4 hours b4 the fight that there was a big plunge on rd 1 and that the odds were halved to 33-1.
So someone had a massive go at it and it wasn't me i just had $20 on it.

Thanks mate. I saw in a post somewhere that 80/1 was for a 1st rnd KO but I thought it was a mistake.
I think, that 80/1 being the case, any half decent bet would slash it.
Long double figured odds are only used to pick up shrapnel. As soon as someone has a stab, it drops like hail.
In boxing, they'ld be pretty game to take several big bets at those odds I think
