Why is it ****? I wasnt actually saying it to discredit Fenech.

Mundines first fight was a big deal. Everyone knew about it, it was everywhere...

Fenech like every other boxer started out a nobody and had to earn his reputation and peoples respect. Mundine was instantly a big deal because of his mouth and his football history.

Fenech was an unknown until he won some big fights... that was several fights. Infact Fenech only had 32 fights and probably had about 15 before he was a big deal.

If this sally ***** wants to compare mundine and fenech on boxing merits, fair enough.

If she wants to compare interest and money then she is fighting a losing battle. Say what you want about his personality or his skills but the guy generates interest, gets views and makes money.

read my post prior to this one

you go on and on and im not even sure we disagree

i didnt say mundine was better or anything like that, he does though generate interest and money. he was able to as you pointed out because he is a loud mouth.

he may be a ****head and he may lack skill

if only sally had said those things

Fenech won a world title in his seventh bout but you say it took him at least 15 fights before he was a big deal? Started out as a nobody?

O/T how old are you kruger?

Fenech was well known since the olympic fiasco. Mainstream media followed his pro career from the start. It got bigger and bigger with every fight. I know this because I had the good fortune to experience it. Several of his fights were screened live to air on the major networks. Others that were covered by Sky Channel would fill pubs around the country. I have great memories of sneaking into pubs underage and on tiptoe straining to see a tv screen whilst trying to hide from the publican and sudden police appearances.

Another thing. Mundine may have been a big name in League territory, but in other states it took a few fights before he came to attention. And even then it was primarily because he was Tony Mundines son. It may come as a shock to some of you but there is this other league called AFL that pretty much has cornered the sporting public in a few states, actually everywhere but NSW & Qld. Whilst it may have been a lead story in league territories, it was not accorded the same status elsewhere.

fenech was regarded as the real deal from the start.
he had RESPECT from all in boxing and those from the sporting public.
he wasnt a sideshow like mundine.
fenech was a bigger boxing name than mundine.
fenech was a better fighter than mundine.
fenech is a hall of famer......
    they are both deadshits.
