So the thief is in his new WBC job one week and all of a sudden we're supposed to forget his mismatch cards? Perhaps he could have a word with people behind the scenes instead of big noting himself live on air as some sort of boxing freedom fighter.
look the card was alright, except jungle boy the guy is an idiot, If you don't put the money up for these fights you don't get the match up we won't.
Yeahthe card wasn't bad except for sonni and that other guy who got ripped of coz the said he head clashed.....
The card was ok IMO, just disherwasher is like over 40 & shouldnt be allowed to fight. The Jungle Boy is downright a loony.
Mismatch capital of the world no where else but Australia and the other Thailand. All the internationals had more losses than wins WTF! and no power. All safe opponents IMO to pad the locals records nothing more..
Fair enough. But lets face it, there just aint enough money to consistantly bring credible opponents out to Australia.
yes & no. as angelo said, its tough. im close to the matchmaking side of things & its not an easy job. guys pulling out of fights, a VERY small pool of fighters to select from, guys trying to get fights under their belt (not particularly entertaining), controversy.. on top of trying to manufacture a show simply to make a living. i thought fenech was outta line & should stop shooting his mouth off. somehow foxtel is putting on a payperview on monday based on exactly what friday night was. now THATS a joke!
That is probably the main reason for poor Boxing cards here in Aust. Just not that many to choose from
it should be bigger. the main joke, like i said is the pay per views. in the us they have pay per views, because the boxing is huge. some of the biggest events. here, the nrl grand final etc play free for all to see, and are the biggest events around. then, for some stupid reason, we have this minnow sport having $45 for one event. Its just lopsided. More needs to be done. Too many pretty boy pink shirt wearing gym girls & not enough brave boxers i reckon. Some of these fitness freaks need to man up & join the greatest sport of history.
