Too many armchair experts here - plenty of people were giving Briggs a chance against Green, or were predicting a war before a KO stoppage to Green, if he showed up in any semblance of his old self.

How anyone can say it was a mismatch and that Green should be ashamed of himself for taking Briggs on as an opponent when he didn't even engage with Green and took a dive at the first opportunity, I don't know.

We didn't get the chance to see if it was a mismatch, all we saw was a bodypunch from each of them, then Briggs looking for the canvas at the first instant one of Green's gloves came near his head.

It's obvious now that Briggs intended to take a dive from the get go - anyone who thinks Green was in on it - who was dry when they entered the ring last night? Green or Briggs? One of the blokes who entered the ring last night had warmed up, the other hadn't.

Can you guess who? I'll give you a hint: his initials are P.B.

Remember he was shopping around for a fight with Mundine before Green agreed to fight him? It's obvious he was looking for one last big payday and the chance to rort the betting so he could make some retirement coin. I had the utmost respect for Briggs up until last night - he along with Green was one of my 2 favourite Australian fighters. Not any more, I can't believe he was willing to humiliate himself and destroy his legacy and bright future within the boxing world by doing what he did last night, and also to screw a one-time mate over in Green so he could rake in some cash.

    **** him.
