AUSTRALIA'S greatest boxer Jeff Fenech has told Anthony Mundine to retire if he can't knock out Daniel Geale in boxing's big grudge match next week.

"The only way Mundine can beat Geale is by knockout," Fenech said.
"And if he can't, it's time to give it away."
The triple world champion has closely followed the careers of the two fighters who meet for the IBF world middleweight title at the Sydney Entertainment Centre tomorrow week.
"This is Anthony's last chance," Fenech said.
"He's got to take risks and knock Geale out.
"That's the only way he can win.
"He's got tremendous speed and power and he's knocked blokes out before.
"I'm not saying he can't win but at his age (37), my opinion is that he should retire if he gets beaten."
The TAB has Geale favourite at $1.33 and took one bet of $20,000 last week. Mundine is at $3.25.

The betting agency is expecting huge interest when the big punters step up next week.
"Our record was when we held $4 million on Green v Mundine a few years ago and this fight could be the same," said the TAB's Matt Jenkins.
"Mundine was surprisingly well backed before we took the $20,000 bet last week."
Most agree with Fenech's view that Mundine's only hope is a knockout.
"Anthony doesn't have the boxing skill or variation in his punches to match Geale," Fenech said.
    "He cannot win on points.
"This is a war and he's got to be prepared for it.
"Some of the boys he's sparred in the past haven't been what you'd call world class.
"He'll want to have prepared better this time.
"We all know how much Geale has improved in the last couple of years since they last fought."
Geale has never been knocked out in his 29-fight career, his only loss was to Mundine in Brisbane in 2009 in the controversial points verdict. Mundine, who has won 19 of his past 20 fights, says his preparation has been different to any of his previous fights.
"This is about power," he said.
"I know what I've got to do to win the fight and I'll do it. I'm as fast as ever and I'm as confident as ever.
"A lot of people will be shocked by what I'm going to do. I rise to the occasion every time I'm put on the big stage and I'm going to do it again."

Sounds like Mundine is looking for a big statement.

Geale might be getting the Masua treatment.

    Fenech is a hater.

He definitely has enough to put Geale down for a ten count.

Haha, are you seriously trying to play at analyst again? You have already proved yourself one of the worst boxing minds on the Australian forum. Please just stop. Has he been fighting "latterly" since Ottke?:lol::lol::lol:

Can you even explain your rationale behind your whole "latterly" thinking and comments?

Please don't change the subject, there will be plenty of time to celebrate Mundine after his end of the month win.

Fenech is no mundine hater, and has been on and off in the mundine camp for some time.
As much of a wanker as fenech is, he's right, Mundine will need a KO to win.

Everything points to a Geale victory.
