if fenech had fought pac-man at either super-bantam or feather or even super-feather how long would he of lasted in each fight would he of lasted longer than hatton
Earlier in his career Fenech had a good chin, which was tested a fair bit because he often drew his opponent into a war and beat them at it, but Pacman hits far too hard and fast for anyone to lunge in and try to outpunch him. Pac TKO7
Pac would savagely KO Fenech, pick him to pieces & deliver the crushing blow similar to Hatton fight.
Fenech would have murdered Pac at superbantam..of that I am sure. Two different levels of fighters at that stage..He had a good beard down there, people often underrate his ability to move from out of range to the inside without taking very much leather. No way a pre-prime Pac can deal with him on the inside, the Sanchez fight showed Pac had a bit of difficulty with that at that stage. At feather its a different story..pretty close there. At superfeather Id give a clear edge to Pac to eventually stop him, as his skills and overall ability had come a long way then. But even then the Fenech from the Nelson fight vs the Pac from the Morales fight would be very interesting..I cant see why Jeff couldnt do as well as Erik did. Id also pick Fenech to beat Morales and possibly Barrera & Pintor at 122...I swear its like people havent seen this guy in his prime, he was the best swarmer since Harada with an amazing amount of physical strength and fitness for his weight. People also have to remember that Manny still was fairly raw and one dimensional at 122-126.
Fenech is certainly in my top 10 all-time Aussie fighters. Wouldn't sell him short against anyone. Could he beat Pac Mac at bantam - just maybe IMO. In higher divisions perhaps not.
