Never really knew boxing, was just an Ali worshipper, along for the ride and a lot of money. Very biased commentary.
He's a valuable resource at times, but he's a smug ******* for sure. "Of course he was manipulated by the Nation of Islam. What kind of question is that? Are you stupid? That has to be the stupidest question I've ever heard. Are you going to keep asking me these kinds of questions? I never saw anyone so manipulated in my whole life." Um, shut the **** up man. It's an interview. That's the point. If the intimacies of Muhammad Ali's psyche were public knowledge you wouldn't be getting paid to sit there and spout **** in front of a camera crew. All in all he's probably a good guy, but his attitude in that documentary just pissed me off.
"Give me credit! Give me credit for saying Ali should stop when he could no longer hit a ****ing speed bag! I'm the man!" atsch
Although he could be a little pompous at times,we have to give credit where credit's due. He did walk away from the Ali circus in '77 when it was apparent that Muhammad was n't quite the same guy he was a couple of years beforehand.
I thought Pacheco was a good commentator and understood boxing. Ive heard from multiple people he is not a very nice guy personally.
