The first fight there was a 120-108 card, now 117-110. Japanese fighters can't catch a break fighting in Japan.

Ioka rubber necks and rides a lot of shots. I reckon lots of judges score it against him while not giving him credit for the clearly elusive work. Slick fighters often suffer from their own slickness, even Pernell got robbed blind a few times if I remember correctly.

    Round 1 Martinez 10-9

Dominant opening round from Pumita who flew Ioka's head multiple times with hooks, granted even though he's riding with a lot of them, he was hurt. Ioka digging to the body here and there.

    Round 1 Martinez 10-9
    Round 2 Martinez 10-9

Pumita standing in range, going to war, whipping in uppercuts and overhands galore, although Ioka is steadily peppering him with jabs to the head and body.

    Round 1 Martinez 10-9
    Round 2 Martinez 10-9
    Round 3 Martinez 10-9

Martinez hurts him early in the corner with an overhand, he pours it on him, pace settles, Ioka staying on the body, with jabs and hooks. Pumita's head attack with uppercuts and hooks is relentless.

    Round 2 Martinez 10-9
    Round 3 Martinez 10-9
    Round 4 Martinez 10-9

Closest round so far, both men standing in the pocket and trading, Ioka walking him into some nice counter straight rights, but the volume from Martinez edges it.

    Round 3 Martinez 10-9
    Round 4 Martinez 10-9
    Round 5 Martinez 10-9

I really want to give some of these rounds to Ioka but I can't. Ioka lands a heavy straight right, and Martinez immediately responds with two hooks to the head, and these aren't feather dusters.

Another close one, both men hurt during exchanges, but Ioka was hurt more and twice.

Pumita keeping him trapped along the ropes for long stretches, battering him with hooks. Pretty one sided round.

    Round 8 Ioka 10-9

Noticeable drop off in energy from Martinez, Ioka took advantage, landing rights and ne twos at a consistent clip throughout. Pumita's nose seems to be bothering him, he keeps dabbing it.

Round was going Pumita's way, until he punched himself unloading a barrage of hooks to Ioka's head, which Ioka was welcoming. Then Ioka hurt him to the body, and sustained the body attack until the end of the round.

Hellacious round, Pumita hard charging forward, battering Ioka to the head, until he walks into a picture perfect left hook to the temple, and he crumples to the mat, although he bounces right back up, dusts himself off, like nothing happened and went right back to war, walking through bomb after bomb from Ioka.

But... but... but... Bam has a chance against Martinez! **** off, no he does not!

Ioka would've slept that four eyed glass jawed dork with that left hook.
