Guerrero has 27 wins and 4 losses, all 4 losses by stoppage. After his last fight he has seen the canvas 17 times. I watched his fight against Tony Harrison last night. Oh my. I've seen Guerrero fight live at the stub hub against Abie Han. I recognized him as I watched Lemiuex destroy him in 3 rounds. Guerrero barely got by Abie Han, and got dropped solidly by Han, who is by no means a puncher. Guerrero got dropped 3 times by Tony Harrison in this last fight and was stopped on the ground. The poor guy looked shot. Just afraid to let his hands go. The man obviously came in the fight in great shape, training hard. But he simply doesnt have the punch resistance to compete even at a B level. Amir Khan has glass for an A level B level fighter, but Guerrero's chin is absolutely fragile, getting regularly dropped by C level competition.
Guerrero also has a lot of gifts on his recordlist, and was dropped in a couple of those fights too. He would have been a jouneyman/low level gatekeeper if he didn't have an infuential promoter behind him. And some called him a top class fighter when he was brought up as Quillin's opponent a couple of years back.
Not digging Guerrero. He's a tough guy. Whose to say I'm not packing glass? I've only been dropped once when I was drunk at 15 but still. Taking a shot from a pro boxer is no joke
He clearly has a fragile chin, more troubling is that he just isn't a durable guy, he can't shake punishment off and come back. ESPN used to tout him heavily. When Grady Brewer dented him, it was all downhill from there.
Fatal flaw. I remember when he was billed as being a "cross between Danny Jacobs and Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam, but better"... :nut
