In all honesty I really do want to see a rematch....:rofl I don't think Montiel got a chance to really get warmed up which is accredited to Nonito's game plan and perfectly timed counter so early in the fight. But I do believe Montiel has more to offer than what we all witnessed. So sure....I'd love to see the fight happen.

Why?? Does he want to see if the ref can really count to ten for a KO loss instead of the TKO he took in their first fight???

It's safe to say Montiel got caught cold. It happens in boxing. Montiel is by far a better fighter than what we saw in the first fight so I'm intrigued to see Montiel fight more intelligent in hopes that the next time around he'd at least get going. I think Nonito still wins....but i know Montiel will be more compeittive than what happened in the first fight.

    No...
The first round Donaire jumped all over Montiel. The second round Donaire started backpedaling and allowed Montiel to do his thing while waiting for Montiels trademark/favorite punch. Montiel lows to throw a wide right hook while jumping into the southpaw stance.

Montiel would get stopped again. No doubt.

Both fights were t 126 lbs. I had never heard of Gonzalez fighting at batam, maybe his fisrt few fights but not against Luisito. Montiel should fight Rigondeaux and taste the 122 lbs waters.

Would first like to see how Montiel handles other 122lbers before taking on Nonito. Yes Montiel is a puncher, but you need more than that to beat a great fighter like Nonito. Montiel would have to fight very intelligent and find a way to neutralize Nonitos offense and keep those hands up real high to avoid that left hand again. I only see Rigo, Mares, and Gamboa as the only real threats to Nonito.
