After Bradley-Alexander I hope this one lives up to its billing.

Gaz i think it will either way. Whether Nonito produces a masterclass or Nando upsets the applecart and blows him away to both men trading and going at it.

Styles Mesh a lot better then Bradley vs Alexander and i think it's gonna be a special night with a special performance from at least one man.

He can't expect to win this on points IMO. He needs to get close to Nonito and look to land. He's been aggressive and it's shown in his results. I think if he tries to win at range he will lose.

Donaire will use his size and reach advantage and outbox him leading to a late stoppage of Montiel. That's what my crystal ball tells me anyways, but it's a cheap Chinese one so it doesn't always get it right!

i think its the only way he wins. if he is aggresive if will play into the bigger mans hands and Donaire will KO him.

If he stays at range i doesn't that play into Donaire's hands as well? seeing as he has reach and can box masterfully at range with ring generalship and allows Donaire to fight at his own pace?. Not to say i think Nando should brawl...but he can't stay on outside looking to pick pocket a decision. He will need to get mid-short range and let hands go and mix the work up i think.

its the tactics ive seen him use in allot of his 50-50 fights.

If he trades with Donaire i see him getting stopped.

I see him getting stopped either way tbh. I think if Nonito is sharp he be to much either way. But i think it would be criminal to wait on outside when your fighting to Nonito's strengths but see your point.

I think he will look to capitalize on Nonito's transitions in offence. He sometimes will throw counters and be in precarious position stance wise. Nando may try draw his lead and look to catch him in transition with something big.

Mere minutes after Nonito Donaire had left the Top Rank Gym, finishing up his portion of the open media workout for his fight this Saturday night against Fernando Montiel, the Los Mochis, Mexico native arrived with his team. Montiel will defend his WBC and WBO bantamweight crown against his Fil-Am rival this Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Slightly peculiar about Donaire's appearance was the fact that he simply fielded questions from the media, participated in a photo shoot and then left the building. Taking Donaire's lead, Montiel too wasn't exactly in the fighting spirit on this day as his only real work consisted of a brief shadowboxing display and a few minutes on the speed bag.

Prior to that, Montiel was able to field various questions from the media in relation to his fight this weekend. What stood out about the 31-year old, three-division champion was just how confident he is heading into this fight. Speaking with vigor and passion, Montiel let it be known that the 2-1 odds against him don't mean a thing and that he is here to upset Donaire's apple cart.

As his time speaking near the ring came to a close I asked Montiel myself if it was hard to find the right kind of sparring partners to emulate Donaire's tricky style. He revealed that he had been putting in work with a wide range of talent down in Mexico, including southpaws and fighters with tremendous size.

I also asked Montiel if he felt he had the power to end Donaire's night early or if he thought he needed to break him down with an accumulation of punches.

"I don't think I have the power," Montiel said."I know I have the power to hurt him. Whether it's with one shot or over time."

This is do or die for both men and you could sense that in Montiel's voice. Saturday night can't come soon enough.
